Rahiri Retirement Village is located in a rural setting in the friendly Manawatu town of Dannevirke. Our village is close to the town’s many amenities, including local bowling and golf clubs, shops, cafes and parks.
You’ll find a small but strong community at Rahiri Retirement Village. With just five villas, the village gives you the chance to get to know your neighbours, while also enjoying your privacy and independence. Our spacious two-bedroom homes are built with quality materials, and feature well-designed kitchens, open plan lounge and dining areas, modern bathrooms and quality fittings. All our villas are fitted with 24-hour emergency alarm systems, and the village has regular security patrols. The grounds of Rahiri Retirement Village are also home to an established care facility, offering rest home, hospital, respite and dementia care.
There’s a range of activities and facilities at Rahiri to get involved with, if you wish. In conjunction with our care home, we run a busy activities programme featuring lots of entertainment and social outings. Indoor bowls is popular, as are our beach trips. There’s also a resident’s library, stocked with books, puzzles and games, and a regular wellness clinic, where you can receive health monitoring and advice from a registered nurse.
