Awatere offers a range of studio and one-bedroom Care Suites, so you can choose the size and layout that best suits your lifestyle. Our one-bedroom Care Suites are large enough for couples, so you can stay together whilst receiving the care you both need.

We don’t have visiting hours at Awatere because we know it’s important you stay connected to your community. Just like at home, friends and family can join you anytime for a cuppa and a catch-up. We’re conveniently located right in the heart of Hamilton, so it’s a breeze for visitors to pop in or get you out and about to local shops and cafes.

It’s easy to fill your day at Awatere. Your Guest Services Manager will get to know you to find out how you like to spend your time, so that they can help you fill your day with the things you love to do. Whether it’s something as simple as video chatting with family overseas or something that requires a bit more organisation like meeting up with some friends at a show – either way, you can relax and let us take care of the logistics. Our activities calendar is packed with a variety of group and solo pursuits, so you can choose what you feel like doing. Hop in our van to explore an exciting new destination each week or enjoy some me-time listening to your own personalised playlist with our award-winning I Love Music programme.
