Torbay Rest Home is a privately-owned rest home on Auckland’s North Shore close to Long Bay beach, parklands, and shops. It offers rest home level care, respite care, and dementia care.
There are 52 beds within the rest home, including 10 beds within a secure dementia wing. Rooms are comfortable, well-equipped, and linked to a 24-hour call system attended by on-site registered nurses. Some rooms have views across the gardens, while others have ranch sliders for indoor-outdoor flow. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom and TV aerial points.
Life at Torbay Rest Home is tranquil, caring, and supportive of individual needs. An Activities Coordinator plans fun things to do each week, both onsite and offsite. From bingo sessions, pet therapy, and zumba at the rest home, to picnics at Puhoi, shopping at Devonport Village, or visiting Orewa Beach, there’s plenty of variety. The Activities Coordinator regularly asks residents for suggestions – they always come up with wonderful places to visit and things to do.
